Dog Obedience Training Classes
Beginner: Learn basic cues including sit, stand, down, stay, and come, as well as how to walk on a leash in an upbeat group environment. You'll need a six foot leash (no retractables, please) and a flat-buckle collar; bite-sized treats and toys are optional but good to have on hand. Minimum age for puppies is 4 months. Proof of vaccination is required. Please bring paperwork to the first class, which will meet without the dogs. For your and your dogs' safety and emotional well-being, aggressive or overly anxious dogs will be dismissed from class and referred to an individualized program.

CURRENT GROUP CLASS OFFERINGS:
Affordable six-week beginner training classes are being offered through the Town of Geddes Parks and Recreation Department, located at the John Carno Recreation Center at 823 State Fair Boulevard in Lakeland. Preferential registration is given to town residents; non-town residents will be briefly wait-listed and admitted as space is available. To register, call 315.487.8238 between 9 am and 4:30 pm. Registration begins January 18. You must pre-register in order to participate.

One-Hour Training Consultations (CNY area only)

A training consultation is optimal for clients who have a command of basic training but are struggling with a specific issue. Jill will meet with you and your dog in your home to help you assess the causes of your dog's behavior and offer strategies for resolving the problem.
Virtual Training Consultations (long-distance available)
$20
Jill will connect with you via phone or Skype for 20 minutes to discuss behavioral issues you're experiencing with your dog and offer advice on how to resolve them.
One-On-One Training Packages (CNY area only)
$200* for 6 sessions
Jill will meet with you and your dog one-on-one in your home for a total of six 30-minute sessions to assist with basic obedience training needs, including such cues as sit, stay, down, down-stay, come, leave it, and trade. Sessions are non-transferable and must be used within a 6-month period. Weekly or biweekly sessions are recommended.
*Rates apply to locations within 15 miles of Jill's home in the western suburbs of Syracuse. Please add $5 per visit for each additional 10 miles traveled.
